Prof GM Sangmi is new Director Distance Education KU, Prof Raies Qadri Dean Students welfare | KNO

Srinagar, Sept 15 (KNO) : Prof Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar (Sangmi) form the Department of Commerce University of Kashmir has been appointed as new Director Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) whereas Prof Raies A Qadri from the Department of Biotechnology KU has been appointed as new Dean Students Welfare, University of Kashmir. An order No: F(Dir-DDE-Apptt-ADTW-3019) dated : Sept 12,2018 reads

“Dr Nahid Ruhee, Associate Professor, Directorate of Distance Education is relieved from the charge of the Director, Directorate of Distance Education with immediate effect. Consequent upon the above, Prof Ghulam Mohi-ud-din dar (Sangmi) Dept of Commerce , shall in addition to his own duties function as Director , Directorate of Distance education, till further orders.

” Prof Sangmi has served as Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Director UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, Head, Department of Business & Financial Studies and Head, Department of Commerce, University of Kashmir, besides having a wide experience of 31 years in Teaching, Research, Consultancy and Administration. He has been the Editor and Chief Editor of the Journal ‘The Business Review’ for about 10 years. Prof. Sangmi is visiting faculty to a number of Management institutes and universities in the country Meanwhile in another order issued on Sept 12,2018 Prof Raies A Qadri has been appointed as Dean Students Welfare thereby relieving Prof GN Khaki from the additional charge as DSW.

“At his own request Prof G.N Khaki, is relieved from the additional charge of Dean, Students Welfare with immediate effect. Consequent upon the above, Prof Raies Ahmad Qadri, Department of Biotechnology shall in addition to his own duties function as Dean Students welfare (DSW) till further orders,” reads an order No. F(DSW-Apptt-ADTW-3019) dated Sept 12,2018.

Prof. Raies A Qadri is a former, Head Department of Biotechnology and is presently Coordinator, Advance Centre for Reproductive health under ICMR, Govt. of India, Chairman Board of Research National Institute of Biologicals Noida, Coordinator DST FIST under Ministry of Science and Technology and Coordinator UGC-Special Assistance Programme. Prof Qadri has completed his Ph.D and Post Doctorate from National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi and has specialization in Cancer Immunology.
